GOAL
To help and develop the distressed, disadvantaged, neglected and vulnerable rural people in Afghanistan by providing them necessary social and economic assistance for sustaining their lives.
OBJECTIVES
BOD works towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of the poor, socially and economically deprived rural communities.
- To facilitate, plan and execute development, relief and rehabilitation programs in rural Afghanistan.
- To promote conventional understanding of peace and tolerance through education, culture and mass communication.
- To conduct Research and contribute to discussions in the social and economic development sphere.
- To facilitate suitable projects on Comprehensive Rural Development.
- To facilitate skill development training programs for rural men and women.
- Organize people to participate in social action processes for community self-reliance
- To assist disadvantaged people by providing them income generating opportunities.
- To print or publish periodical magazines, books, pamphlets, leaflets or booklets for the purpose of increasing awareness of rural communities and assisting them to make informed choices.
- To encourage people to exercise their rights to access the social and economic opportunities.
- Develop healthy working relationship between community, Government and other organizations.
- To Promote participatory exercise for the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
- Enable rural citizens to effectively voice their demands, effect social change, demand reforms, influence decisions, hold authority accountable, and exert their citizenship.
